Garret DeReus is an attorney at Bizer & DeReus and is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Missouri. As a constitutional lawyer and experienced federal practitioner, Mr. DeRus has handled hundreds of a civil rights cases. Mr. DeReus has handled a diverse array of cases, including disability rights, prisoner rights, first amendment, discrimination by universities and licensure boards, and wrongful death claims. Mr. DeReus is also adept at handling personal injury claims.

Mr. DeReus passion for civil rights started when he was in law school at Tulane Law School, when he worked at the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center (formerly the Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center), first as an intern 2011 and later as a Legal Fellow. After graduating from Tulane Law School, Mr. DeReus started in private practice handling disability rights cases.
